Astonin-H is a drug prescribed to treat adrenal insufficiency. It is a synthetic form of a hormone, cortisol, which belongs to the glucocorticoid class. The drug is used to replace insufficient amounts of cortisol in the body in the following conditions: adrenogenital syndrome, postural hypotension or orthostatic hypotension, and in conjunction with hydrocortisone for adrenal insufficiency.
